She Loved the Billionaire Since Childhood — Until Forced to Serve at His Wedding!

Chapter 13

Their wedding took place one year later.

It was small.

No billionaire guests.

No corporate negotiations.

No cameras.

Only family and close friends.

Amelia walked down the aisle wearing a simple ivory dress.

Ethan waited beneath an old oak tree.

When he saw her, he smiled.

Not the polished smile of a billionaire.

The smile of the boy who had climbed a fence to bring her a bicycle.

When she reached him, he whispered:

“You’re beautiful.”

She smiled.

“You took long enough.”

Everyone laughed.

During the vows, Ethan spoke first.

“I loved you before I understood what love was.”

Amelia’s eyes filled with tears.

“I lost you because I didn’t know how to fight for you.”

He took her hands.

“But I found you again because you taught me that love isn’t something inherited from our families.”

He paused.

“It’s something we choose.”

Amelia squeezed his hands.

Then she said:

“I loved you when we were children.”

A few guests smiled.

“But I didn’t marry the boy I loved.”

She looked into his eyes.

“I married the man who became worthy of that love.”

Ethan’s eyes filled with tears.

They exchanged rings.

They kissed.

The guests applauded.

Later that evening, Amelia stood beneath the oak tree.

She looked at the bracelet on her wrist.

The tiny red bicycle charm caught the light.

Ethan approached.

“Thinking about the past?”

“Yes.”

“Regret?”

She shook her head.

“None.”

He smiled.

“Why?”

“Because if everything had happened differently, I might never have understood what we have now.”

He wrapped an arm around her.

She rested her head against his shoulder.

The billionaire everyone knew had finally learned something money could never buy.

And the girl who had loved him since childhood had finally stopped standing in the background of his life.

She wasn’t the waitress.

She wasn’t the childhood friend.

She wasn’t the woman forced to serve at his wedding.

She was his wife.

His equal.

His chosen family.

And this time, when Ethan promised to take her somewhere beautiful, she knew he meant it.

Because sometimes love doesn’t arrive when you expect it.

Sometimes it survives years of silence, family secrets, and impossible circumstances.

And sometimes the person you’ve loved since childhood doesn’t become your greatest heartbreak.

They become the person who finally comes home.
