She Loved the Billionaire Since Childhood — Until Forced to Serve at His Wedding!
Chapter 11
Six months later, Ethan returned to the neighborhood where he and Amelia had grown up.
The old fence was still there.
It had been repainted.
The treehouse where they had spent summers was gone.
But the memories remained.
Amelia stood beside him.
“Do you remember?”
“Everything.”
She smiled.
“You used to steal my cookies.”
“You always had better ones.”
“You were terrible.”
“I was nine.”
“Still terrible.”
They laughed.
Ethan reached into his pocket.
He pulled out a small box.
Amelia stared.
“What is that?”
“Something I should have given you years ago.”
Inside was a silver bracelet.
A tiny red bicycle charm hung from it.
Amelia’s eyes filled with tears.
“You kept it?”
“I had it made.”
She touched the charm.
“Why?”
“Because you were the first person who ever made me feel like I wasn’t my father’s son.”
She looked at him.
“Who were you?”
“Just Ethan.”
She smiled.
“That’s who I loved.”
He stepped closer.
“I know.”
She looked away.
“I don’t know if I can forget everything.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I don’t know if I can trust you.”
“You shouldn’t trust me because I ask you to.”
He paused.
“Trust me because I prove it.”
She looked into his eyes.
Then she smiled.
“Okay.”
He kissed her forehead.
Nothing dramatic happened.
No cameras.
No reporters.
No billionaire announcement.
Just two people who had known each other since childhood.
Finally standing together without secrets between them.
