My Fiancé Skipped Our Wedding for His Assistant — Then I Married the Billionaire Who Had Loved Me
Chapter 13
The wedding was completely different from Natalie’s first one.
Smaller.
Warmer.
No massive guest list.
No reporters.
No corporate partners.
Just family and close friends.
Natalie walked down a garden aisle.
Alexander waited beneath an arch covered with white flowers.
When she reached him, he whispered:
“You came.”
She laughed through tears.
“Of course I came.”
“I’ve been nervous all morning.”
“You?”
“Terrified.”
She smiled.
“Good.”
He laughed.
During the vows, Alexander said:
“I loved you when you belonged to someone else.”
Natalie’s eyes filled with tears.
“I waited because I believed one day you’d see me.”
He took her hands.
“Now I promise something different.”
“What?”
“I will never ask you to disappear inside my life.”
She smiled.
“I promise the same.”
They kissed.
The guests applauded.
But Natalie barely heard them.
She was thinking about that other wedding.
The empty altar.
The message.
The humiliation.
And how far she had come since then.
