He Lent His Laptop to a Girl for an Interview — Unaware She Was the Disguised CEO!
Chapter 12
The wedding was private.
Only close family.
Friends.
A few employees.
Olivia’s father attended.
So did her uncle, William.
The ceremony took place in the gardens outside Bennett House.
When Olivia walked toward Ethan, she smiled.
“You know what almost stopped this?”
He laughed.
“Your family?”
“My laptop dying.”
He smiled.
“Then I suppose I owe your battery a thank-you.”
Everyone laughed.
Their vows were simple.
Olivia said,
“I spent my life believing I had to know everything before I trusted anyone.”
She looked at Ethan.
“Then I met you.”
“And you reminded me that trust begins before certainty.”
Ethan smiled.
“I thought I was lending you a laptop.”
He paused.
“I didn’t know I was lending you the beginning of my life.”
They kissed.
Afterward, Olivia’s father approached Ethan.
“I owe you an apology.”
Ethan looked at him.
“For what?”
“For helping my daughter become who she should have been all along.”
Ethan smiled.
“She did that herself.”
Her father nodded.
“Maybe.”
Later that night, Olivia found Ethan alone.
“Happy?”
“Yes.”
“You’re sure?”
He looked at her.
“Completely.”
