He Lent His Laptop to a Girl for an Interview — Unaware She Was the Disguised CEO!

Chapter 6

The CEO entered the office.

Olivia stood.

Then she realized the man was not the real CEO.

He was an impostor.

Security followed him.

“Ms. Parker?”

“Yes?”

“You’re coming with us.”

Olivia stayed calm.

“Why?”

“You’re being investigated for financial misconduct.”

Ethan appeared behind them.

“What are you doing?”

The man showed an authorization letter.

“She has been suspended pending investigation.”

Ethan looked at Olivia.

She shook her head.

“Don’t react.”

Whispers spread.

The new analyst was being accused of fraud.

He was furious.

But he trusted her.

He returned to his office.

Then his phone buzzed.

A message from Olivia.

Find the original authorization records.

Ethan stared.

She wasn’t panicking.

She was investigating.

He smiled.

“Got it.”

He spent the next six hours searching.

The authorization documents had been generated through a secure executive system.

Only six people had access.

One was Daniel Reeves.

One was the chairman.

Two were board members.

One was the legal department.

And one was…

Olivia Bennett.

Ethan froze.

The name was not supposed to be there.

He opened a confidential corporate registry.

Olivia Bennett.

CEO.

Age twenty-nine.

He stared at the photograph.

It was the woman from the hotel.

The woman who had borrowed his laptop.

The woman who had claimed to be a new analyst.

The woman now accused of fraud.

Ethan leaned back.

Everything made sense.

She had been undercover.

Then he found another document.

A board resolution.

Olivia Bennett had been appointed CEO six months earlier.

The same day the suspicious transfers began.

Someone had been preparing to blame her from the beginning.

Ethan called the chairman.

“I need to speak with you.”

“About what?”

“Olivia Bennett.”

Silence.

“What about her?”

“She has been framed.”

The chairman’s voice became cautious.

“Where did you get that information?”

Ethan smiled.

“I know who she is.”

That evening, Ethan entered the executive boardroom.

Olivia was already there.

No false identity.

No gray coat.

No nervous expression.

She wore a black suit.

The room was full of directors.

She looked directly at him.

“You figured it out.”

“Yes.”

“How long?”

“About three hours.”

She smiled.

“I was hoping you’d be the one.”

Ethan stared.

“You knew?”

“I hoped.”

“Why did you choose me?”

Olivia answered quietly.

“Because you gave me your laptop before you knew I was important.”

He smiled.

“And now?”

“Now I need your help.”
