The Maid’s Toddler Copied the Mafia Boss’s Angry Face—His Reaction Made Everyone Laugh!

Chapter 12

Spring came.

The wedding was held in the garden.

The same garden where Leo had raced toy cars with Vincent.

The same place where we had talked about family.

No cameras.

No newspapers.

No headlines.

Just us.

Daniel walked me down the aisle.

Vincent waited.

When he saw me, his face softened.

Leo stood beside him in a tiny suit.

He looked serious.

Very serious.

He had been practicing Vincent’s angry face all morning.

When I reached them, Vincent leaned toward him.

“Stop making that face.”

Leo shook his head.

“Boss face.”

Everyone laughed.

The ceremony began.

Vincent spoke first.

“I spent most of my life believing people respected me because they feared me.”

He looked at me.

“Then I met a woman who was afraid of me and stayed anyway.”

I smiled.

He continued.

“You showed me that fear isn’t loyalty.”

“You showed me that power isn’t strength.”

“And your son taught me that the smallest person in the room can change the biggest man in it.”

My eyes filled.

Then it was my turn.

“I thought Vincent Blackwood was the most frightening man I’d ever met.”

He smiled.

“You were.”

“But my son saw something else.”

I looked at Leo.

“He saw a man who needed someone to laugh at his angry face.”

Everyone laughed.

Vincent shook his head.

“I still haven’t recovered.”

I took his hand.

“You became the man my son trusts.”

“And the man I love.”

We exchanged rings.

Then Leo shouted,

“Kiss!”

Everyone laughed.

Vincent kissed me.

It was perfect.

After the ceremony, we danced.

Leo danced between us.

Daniel smiled from the edge of the garden.

For the first time, nobody was hiding.

That night, Vincent and I stood alone beneath the lights.

He looked at me.

“Do you remember the first time Leo copied my face?”

“Yes.”

“He almost ruined my reputation.”

“He definitely did.”

He smiled.

“I was angry about it.”

“I know.”

“I thought people feared me.”

“They did.”

“Then why did he make me laugh?”

“Because he wasn’t afraid.”

Vincent looked at the house.

“He changed me.”

“He changed all of us.”

He touched my hand.

“I love that boy.”

“I know.”

“I love you.”

“I know.”

He smiled.

Then he whispered,

“Thank you for bringing him into my life.”

I kissed him.

“No.”

“What?”

“Thank you for staying.”

He smiled.

And that was the real promise.

Not money.

Not power.

Not protection.

Staying.
