The Billionaire’s Daughter Drove Every Maid Away — Until One Woman Refused to Be Afraid of Her
Chapter 11
Isabella stopped making people quit.
Instead, she began helping the staff.
She learned their names.
Asked about their families.
Remembered birthdays.
One morning, she walked into the kitchen carrying flowers.
“For Mrs. Lewis.”
The cook stared.
“Why?”
“Your birthday.”
The woman began crying.
Isabella became embarrassed.
“Oh, no.”
“It’s because nobody remembers.”
Isabella hugged her.
“I do now.”
The change spread through the mansion.
Staff members began staying longer.
The house felt warmer.
Laughter returned.
Clara watched from the doorway.
Richard approached her.
“You did something extraordinary.”
Clara shook her head.
“She did.”
He smiled.
“You’re both stubborn.”
Isabella overheard.
“You’ve been talking about me.”
Richard laughed.
“Of course.”
She looked at Clara.
“Are you leaving?”
Clara raised an eyebrow.
“Do you want me to?”
Isabella shook her head.
“Not ever.”
Clara smiled.
“I thought you were going to fire me.”
“I changed my mind.”
“Good.”
Isabella hugged her.
Then whispered:
“Thank you.”
Clara hugged her back.
“You’re welcome.”
Their relationship had started with conflict.
It had become trust.
But nobody in the mansion expected the next step.
Isabella wanted Clara to become more than her housekeeper.
She wanted her to join the family foundation.
Not as an employee.
As a partner.
