No One Could Serve the Foreign Tycoon — Until the Waitress Switched Languages!

Chapter 13

The missing name haunted them for weeks.

Richard refused to reveal it.

Adrian Cross was arrested at an airport.

Victor Carter, after recovering from the cemetery shooting, agreed to testify.

The evidence from the cargo terminal exposed dozens of shell companies.

Black Orchid collapsed.

But the final file remained missing.

Daniel became convinced someone else had access to it.

Then Emma found the answer in the old notebook.

The final page was not a message.

It was a translation exercise.

Her father had taught her Russian for a reason.

The first letters of every sentence formed a hidden phrase.

Emma translated them.

Look beneath the place where we first said goodbye.

She knew immediately.

The cemetery.

She returned alone.

Her father’s grave looked different in the afternoon sunlight.

She touched the stone.

Then she noticed another loose brick.

Behind it was a sealed envelope.

Inside was a final recording.

Daniel’s voice.

“If Emma has found this, then she has survived.”

Emma smiled through tears.

“I knew you would.”

Daniel continued.

“The final name is not a person.”

Emma frowned.

“It is an institution.”

The recording revealed that Black Orchid had manipulated legitimate organizations by exploiting corrupt individuals inside them.

The network had never belonged to one government or company.

It had existed through people who sold information.

The evidence identified every transaction.

No mystery remained.

No hidden mastermind.

Just a chain of choices.

Daniel ended the recording with one sentence.

“Don’t spend your life searching for monsters. Sometimes the most dangerous thing is an ordinary person deciding that profit matters more than another human being.”

Emma sat beside the grave for a long time.

When she returned to the city, Alexander was waiting.

She handed him the recording.

He listened.

Then he said:

“Your father gave you more than evidence.”

“What?”

“A warning.”

Emma smiled.

“I think he gave me permission to live.”

Alexander looked at her.

“You should.”

Emma hesitated.

“What about you?”

“What about me?”

“You saved me.”

“So did your father.”

“You still came.”

Alexander smiled.

“You switched languages.”

She laughed softly.

“That was enough?”

“It was the first thing anyone had done in years that made me believe Daniel was still watching over us.”

Emma looked at him.

For the first time, she realized she wasn’t afraid of him.

She was afraid of losing him.
