No One Could Serve the Foreign Tycoon — Until the Waitress Switched Languages!

Chapter 11

They drove through the night.

Daniel sat beside Emma in the back seat.

For the first time, she could see how tired he was.

Years of hiding had changed him.

But his hand remained steady around hers.

“Dad?”

“Yes?”

“Did you ever stop thinking about me?”

Daniel looked at her.

“Not once.”

“Then why didn’t you send a letter?”

“Because one letter could have killed you.”

Emma nodded slowly.

“I hate that I understand.”

Daniel smiled sadly.

“I hate that you had to.”

Alexander drove toward the city.

“We need somewhere Richard can’t reach.”

Daniel answered:

“There is one place.”

The headquarters of Alexander’s company.

It was protected by private security and legal restrictions.

They arrived just before dawn.

Inside, Alexander gathered his lawyers.

Daniel connected the evidence to an isolated system.

The files were copied.

For the first time, they had enough evidence to bring down Black Orchid.

But Richard moved faster.

Every major news outlet suddenly received documents accusing Alexander Volkov of international money laundering.

Emma watched the headlines appear.

“That’s impossible.”

Daniel shook his head.

“They’re trying to destroy Alexander before he can testify.”

Alexander stood silently.

Emma looked at him.

“They’re framing you.”

“I know.”

“You could lose everything.”

Alexander smiled faintly.

“Your father already lost more.”

Emma looked at him.

“You’re not afraid?”

“I am.”

It was the first time Alexander had admitted it.

“I simply learned that fear is not a reason to surrender.”

Emma looked down.

The words reminded her of her father.

Then she remembered something.

“The restaurant.”

Alexander turned.

“What?”

“The first night.”

“What about it?”

“You said my father gave you an instruction.”

“Yes.”

“To wait until I spoke Russian.”

Alexander nodded.

“But why?”

Emma suddenly understood.

Her father had known that Richard might intercept ordinary communication.

But he had trusted something unique.

Language.

A language Richard didn’t expect Emma to speak.

Emma opened the old notebook.

There was one final page she hadn’t noticed.

It contained a series of Russian sentences.

She read them.

Alexander’s expression changed.

“Those aren’t sentences.”

“What are they?”

“Coordinates.”

Emma stared.

The coordinates led to an abandoned cargo terminal owned by Richard Hale.

Daniel stood.

“That is where he kept the original records.”

Alexander looked at him.

“Then that’s where we’re going.”

Emma shook her head.

“No.”

They looked at her.

“We don’t go there to find evidence.”

She closed the notebook.

“We go there because Richard expects us to.”
