“A Don Doesn’t Date Fat Girls,” She Spat. He Locked The Door “Watch Me Make You My Wife”
Chapter 12
Bianca kept her expression calm.
“Who forged it?”
Russo smiled.
“Ask the Don.”
She said nothing.
“You’ve been sleeping in his house.”
Still nothing.
“You think he loves you.”
Bianca’s jaw tightened.
“He does.”
Russo laughed.
“You don’t know Matteo.”
“I know him better than you do.”
“Do you?”
He stepped closer.
“Ask him what his father did to yours.”
“I already know.”
Russo’s smile faded.
“I don’t think you do.”
He held up another file.
“Your father planned to expose us.”
“And?”
“Matteo’s father stopped him.”
“Why?”
“Because your father had discovered the De Luca family was moving money through Moretti International.”
Bianca shook her head.
“My father wasn’t corrupt.”
“No.”
Russo paused.
“He was trying to stop it.”
“And Matteo’s father?”
“He helped him.”
“Then why did they fight?”
“Because your father wanted out.”
Russo leaned closer.
“Your father took the money.”
Bianca’s face changed.
“What money?”
“The twenty-two million.”
“That money was for me.”
“Yes.”
Russo smiled.
“Your father stole it from the De Lucas.”
Bianca felt sick.
“No.”
“He transferred it into your trust.”
She shook her head.
“Why would he?”
“To keep it away from us.”
“So it was stolen?”
“No.”
Russo’s smile widened.
“That’s the part you still don’t understand.”
A voice came through Bianca’s earpiece.
Matteo.
“Bianca, don’t react.”
She kept her face neutral.
Russo continued.
“The money was never De Luca money.”
“What was it?”
“Insurance.”
“For what?”
“Your mother’s life.”
Bianca stared.
Russo’s expression darkened.
“Your mother had evidence against people much more powerful than us.”
“Who?”
He smiled.
“Politicians. Judges. Bankers.”
Bianca’s chest tightened.
“She wasn’t killed because of money.”
“No.”
“She was killed because she knew.”
“Yes.”
“Then my father?”
“He tried to expose them.”
“And you?”
“I was hired to stop him.”
Her heart stopped.
“You killed my father?”
Russo shook his head.
“No.”
He looked toward the door.
“I gave the order.”
The room went silent.
Then the doors exploded open.
Matteo’s security team rushed inside.
Russo reached for a gun.
Bianca dropped behind a desk.
Shots rang out.
Matteo entered.
He moved toward Bianca first.
“Are you hurt?”
“No.”
“Stay down.”
Russo escaped through a side passage.
Matteo’s men chased him.
Bianca grabbed the forged document.
Then she saw something else.
A name on the final page.
Luca De Luca.
Her blood went cold.
Luca had not been working for Russo.
He had been working with him.
Matteo returned.
Bianca handed him the page.
He read it.
His expression changed.
“No.”
“It’s your uncle.”
“No.”
“He signed the transfer.”
Matteo stared at the document.
Then his phone rang.
Luca.
Matteo answered.
His uncle spoke calmly.
“You finally found me.”
“Why?”
“Because your father made one mistake.”
“What?”
“He trusted me.”
Matteo closed his eyes.
Luca continued.
“And now the trust belongs to me.”
The call ended.
Matteo looked at Bianca.
The final enemy wasn’t outside the family.
He was inside it.
