Billionaire Ordered in a Foreign Language to Humiliate the Waitress — Her Reply Left Him Speechless
Chapter 11
They refused to let Ethan go alone.
Instead, they turned the warehouse into a trap.
Federal agents surrounded the building.
Adrian entered through the front.
Claire and Amelia stayed behind.
Ethan waited in a secure vehicle.
At midnight, Victor appeared.
He walked into the warehouse carrying no weapon.
Adrian stood across from him.
“It’s over.”
Victor smiled.
“Is it?”
“You’re surrounded.”
“I expected that.”
“Then why are you here?”
Victor looked at him.
“To offer you a deal.”
Adrian laughed.
“You still think you can buy me?”
“Everyone has a price.”
“Not anymore.”
Victor shook his head.
“You haven’t changed.”
Adrian stepped closer.
“You’re wrong.”
Victor smiled.
“You think you’re powerful because you have money.”
“No.”
Adrian’s voice was calm.
“I know exactly what money can’t buy.”
Victor’s expression hardened.
“Your father understood power.”
“My father was afraid of you.”
“He was practical.”
“He betrayed everyone.”
“He survived.”
Adrian looked directly into Victor’s eyes.
“That’s not the same thing.”
Victor’s smile disappeared.
Then he pressed a button.
A screen behind him turned on.
It showed Ethan.
Alone.
Adrian’s blood ran cold.
“What did you do?”
Victor laughed.
“Your security system was never mine to break.”
Adrian understood.
There was a traitor inside his organization.
A person who had been feeding Victor information for months.
The screen went black.
Then came a message.
One hour.
Victor stepped backward.
“You have one hour to decide.”
“Decide what?”
“Whether you expose the evidence…”
He paused.
“…or save your son.”
Adrian stared at him.
Victor had finally found the weakness he wanted.
Family.
But Victor had made one mistake.
He believed Adrian still thought like the man he had been twenty-three years ago.
A man who could be controlled by fear.
Adrian looked at him.
“You made one mistake.”
“What?”
“You showed me what matters.”
Victor frowned.
Adrian smiled.
“And now I know exactly what to protect.”
The warehouse lights suddenly turned on.
Federal agents surrounded Victor.
He raised his hands.
But his smile remained.
“You think this changes anything?”
Adrian shook his head.
“No.”
Then Thomas entered.
“With the original financial records, your offshore network is finished.”
Victor’s smile disappeared.
“And the man who betrayed us?”
Thomas pointed toward a side door.
A security officer was brought in handcuffs.
Victor stared at him.
“You?”
The officer looked down.
“I needed the money.”
Victor laughed bitterly.
“That’s why you failed.”
He was arrested.
But Ethan was still missing.
And Adrian had only fifty-two minutes left.
