Tipsy Waitress Poked the Mafia Boss’s Chest—Then He Slung Her Over His Shoulder and Took Her
Chapter 11
Marcus struck three days later.
He kidnapped Sofia.
Luca’s younger sister.
The message arrived at midnight.
A photograph.
Sofia tied to a chair.
A clock behind her.
Three hours.
Luca wanted to storm the building immediately.
Mia stopped him.
“No.”
His eyes flashed.
“They have my sister.”
“And they want you angry.”
“I don’t care.”
“You should.”
Luca turned.
“You’re asking me to wait while she dies?”
“No.”
Mia pointed at the photograph.
“Look.”
Luca did.
“The clock.”
“What about it?”
“The time.”
She zoomed in on the image.
The clock showed 2:15.
But the message had arrived at midnight.
“It was staged.”
Luca stared.
Mia continued.
“They want you to believe you have three hours.”
“It’s bait.”
“Yes.”
Luca looked at her.
Then smiled.
Not warmly.
Proudly.
“You’re learning.”
They traced the photograph to an abandoned factory.
Luca sent men through the front.
Mia noticed a second entrance on the map.
“They’ll expect you there.”
Luca looked at her.
“Where would you go?”
“The place nobody is watching.”
They entered from underground.
They found Sofia alive.
Marcus was waiting.
But Mia had already found the hidden cameras.
She disabled them.
Luca confronted Marcus.
“You’re finished.”
Marcus laughed.
“You need me.”
“No.”
Luca held up the ledger.
“I don’t.”
Marcus looked at Mia.
“You think he loves you?”
Mia froze.
Luca stepped between them.
“Choose your next words carefully.”
Marcus smiled.
“He’ll destroy you eventually.”
Mia answered before Luca could.
“No.”
Marcus frowned.
“He destroyed everything around him.”
“He changed.”
“You believe that?”
Mia looked at Luca.
“I’ve watched him change.”
Marcus raised his gun.
Luca moved.
The shot struck his shoulder.
Mia screamed.
Luca dropped to one knee.
Marcus escaped.
But this time, he left something behind.
A USB drive.
Luca picked it up.
The files revealed the final location of Marcus’s entire operation.
And at the bottom was one sentence:
Tomorrow night, the city burns.
