Ethan walked toward her.

She stared.
“You remembered?”
“Everything.”
He knelt.
Megan covered her mouth.
Ethan said:
“I thought I was hiring a stranger.”
“Then I thought I was hiring someone brilliant.”
“Then I realized you were the woman I wanted beside me.”
Megan cried.
He continued:
“You saved my father’s life.”
“You helped save my company.”
“You helped raise my daughter.”
“And somehow, you became the person who made my life feel like home.”
He opened the ring box.
“Will you marry me?”
Megan nodded through tears.
“Yes.”
Lily ran toward them.
