A car pulled into the parking lot.
A young girl stepped out.
She was carrying a plastic bag.
She looked around nervously.
Lily froze.
Daniel noticed.
The girl was alone.
Lily walked toward her.
“Hey.”
The girl backed away.
“I’m not doing anything.”
“I know.”
“You’re going to call someone?”
“No.”
“Then why are you talking to me?”
Lily smiled.
“Because you’re cold.”
The girl looked at her.
Lily opened her coat.
“Come inside.”
Daniel watched from behind.
