The girls came with Elena.
Ava stared at him.
“You’re the man from the airport.”
He smiled.
“Yes.”
Mia studied him.
“You look like me.”
Adrian laughed softly.
“People say that.”
Elena looked uncomfortable.
But she stayed.
Adrian ordered hot chocolate.
The girls began talking.

Friends.

Ava asked:
“What do you do?”
“I run a company.”
“Is it boring?”

Mia smiled.

“You did.”
