Daniel laughed bitterly.
“Everyone says that.”
Thomas looked at him.
“Because it’s true.”
He explained.

Thomas nodded.

“He’s still alive.”
Thomas nodded.
“He controls Orchid now.”
Evelyn asked,
“Why does he want Emma?”

Daniel understood.
“If he controls her trust, he controls the company.”
Thomas nodded.
“And the network.”
Evelyn stood.
“Then we stop him.”
Thomas looked at her.

They returned to Sterling Global.

“You finally found Thomas.”
Evelyn stared.
“You.”
David smiled.

Daniel stepped forward.

“Yes.”
“You killed Thomas Sterling.”
“Yes.”
“You framed my father.”
David looked at him.
“Your father was dangerous.”

“You have something I need.”
“What’s that?”
“Your authorization.”

David looked toward Emma.
“Everyone eventually gives me what I need.”
Evelyn stepped between them.
“No.”
David laughed.
“You think love changes the equation?”
She looked at Daniel.
“Yes.”
Daniel moved beside her.
Emma stood between them.

Then Thomas walked into the room.
David froze.
“Impossible.”
