“When I first came here, I wanted to find out whether people were kind.”
“And?”
“I learned that kindness isn’t rare.”
He looked at her.
“It’s just easier to see in people who don’t think anyone is watching.”
Emma smiled.

He lowered himself to one knee.

“Will you marry me?”

“Yes.”
