“So do you.”
He smiled.
“Maybe.”
She hesitated.
“Daniel.”

“I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“For the way I left.”
He shook his head.
“Don’t be.”
“I didn’t fight for us.”
“You shouldn’t have.”
She looked surprised.

“If you had fought, I might have convinced you to stay without changing.”

“You really have changed.”
“I had to.”
She smiled.

They hugged.
