Daniel eventually told Emma the truth about his wealth.

She stared at him.
“Your daughters are going to inherit billions.”
“They can inherit responsibility.”
Emma shook her head.
“That’s exactly what worries me.”
Daniel asked:
“Then what do you want?”
“Control.”
He frowned.
“What?”
“I want decisions about the girls made by us.”
He nodded.
“Okay.”
“You won’t move them without asking.”
“Never.”
“You won’t turn their lives into media stories.”

“You won’t use money to make them dependent on you.”
He smiled.

Emma relaxed slightly.
