Samuel had stayed behind to face the remaining Black Spurs.
Caleb found him at the edge of town.
Wounded.
Barely standing.
Silas Crowe stood opposite him.
Crowe looked at Caleb.
“Your cousin betrayed you.”
Caleb shook his head.
“He came back.”
Crowe smiled.
“That’s not enough.”
Samuel lifted his gun.
