Daniel didn’t pressure her.
That surprised Victoria.
He simply sat across from her.
“Tell me when you’re ready.”
She looked at him.

“I guessed.”
She almost smiled.
She took a deep breath.
Her hands shook slightly.
Then she wrote:
My name is Victoria Hayes.
Daniel stared.
He didn’t speak.
For several seconds, the room was silent.

“Hayes International?”
She nodded.
“The Hayes International?”
She nodded again.
Daniel stood.
“You are the CEO.”
Victoria nodded.

“You’ve been living in my guest apartment for two weeks.”
She nodded.

Another nod.
“You are worth billions.”
She shrugged.
Daniel laughed in disbelief.
“This is insane.”
Victoria looked down.
He became serious.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”

His smile disappeared.

He nodded.
