“Why?”

“And what would you really say?”

He nodded.
“Me too.”
“Not my father’s company.”
“Not my professor’s company.”
They laughed.
Madison leaned against him.
“I think that’s why I fell for you.”
“Because I’m poor?”
She punched his shoulder.
“No.”
“Because I’m handsome?”
“No.”
“Because I’m an incredible tutor?”
She smiled.
“Because you never asked me to become someone else.”
Ethan kissed her forehead.
