Investors panicked.
Employees were afraid.

“Can you buy my dad a vacation?”

“I don’t need a vacation.”
Lily crossed her arms.
“You do.”

“I like her.”
Daniel shook his head.

She wanted him as an advisor.
She offered him a senior safety position.
Daniel refused at first.
“I don’t want a title.”
“Then take a mission.”
“What mission?”

“You did that.”
She smiled.
“Yes.”
“I told you I don’t like people buying things for me.”

He looked confused.
“For Lily.”
He smiled.
“Thank you.”
She nodded.
“You’re welcome.”

“My son would have liked you.”
Daniel looked at her.
“You think so?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”

“Then I wish I’d met him.”
